Who would have thought that I would have gotten sage all around life coaching advice while in physical therapy?

While working diligently on learning to maneuver on my long strand crutches on curbs- I heard the words “Up with the Strong, Down with the Weak, ” as a way to cue stepping up and down with the appropriate leg on curbs or stairs.

Because I had to remember this advice, I kept repeating to myself up with the strong, down with the weak….hmmmm.  Couldn’t this be applied to all areas in my life?

Turn down any and all thoughts or input that make me weak.

Turn up any and all thoughts or input that make me strong.

Focus on what invigorates my aliveness, fun, and strength.

Pay much less attention to anything that saps my life force, bums me out or weakens my resolve to keep moving towards my best life.

Just like planting my feet to keep from stumbling, being very clear about what makes me feel empowered and what does not, enables me to move through whatever is ahead of me and decide — What will I give my energy to- and what gives my energy back to me.  It is simple.  Just takes a bit of discerning determination.

So remember down with the weak up with the strong!  It will make your day.
